Natural Phenomenom: Dead Sea

What is the Dead Sea?
The Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth at 430.5 meters (1412 feet) below sea level. It is a majestic and mysterious looking lake of light turquoise waters with salt crystals jutting out of it, and golden-brown hills surrounding it.

Where is the Dead Sea?
It is located in the Jordan Rift Valley, bordered by Israel to the East and Jordan to the West. Its hyper-salty waters and mineral-rich mud are known for their many healthy benefits, and many tourists and locals alike visit the hotels and spas on its beaches for mud treatments and salt baths.

Hasil gambar untuk dead seaWhy is the Dead Sea so salty?
The Dead Sea is famously known for being one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world, and certainly the deepest hyper-saline in the world, at a depth of 304 meters (997 feet). And the reason for this high salinity? The Dead Sea is a terminus for the flow of rain and surface water, which means water flows into it but doesn’t flow out: its water has no escape, but is trapped to evaporate.  Soaring summer temperatures and year-round hot dry climatic conditions make it a perfect place to spend unforgettable holidays yet lead to significant losses of water to evaporation. The water has been losing its H2O content for 65,000 years, with the minerals becoming more and more concentrated and salt prominent among them.
How did the Dead Sea get its name?
In various languages, the Dead Sea is referred to by different names, all reflective of its characteristics. Let’s take a look at all its different names and understand their origins.
The Salt Sea
The Dead Sea’s earliest known name is recorded in the Hebrew Scriptures, where it is referred to as “the Salt Sea”, from the Book of Genesis through to The Prophets and later writings. This name was given to due to its unique character: its significantly high salt content, which makes it a source for rock and sea salts.
In the later Roman Era, salt was a highly-valued, strictly controlled commodity, more so than gold or silver. The Roman armies were paid in salt, rather than hard currency, The Latin word for salt – “sal” – forms the basis of the word ‘salary’ from this same meaning. The Romans, beginning with Emperor Trajan, constructed a series of fortresses to dominate every entry and exit ravine for the movement of Dead Sea salt, guaranteeing the payments of tax by the traders. This tax was also paid in salt, rather than coinage.
The Dead Sea
Earliest translations of the name of the Dead Sea into non-indigenous languages often use its original name of “The Salt Sea”, but already by the Roman Era, visitors to Judea had begun to refer to the sea as the “Dead Sea”, as they were mostly struck with how the waters were devoid of all life-forms, whether plants or living creatures.
The Dead Sea origins in the past clarify the matter even better. In the days when the Jordan River flowed south from the Sea of Galilee with full force in the wet season, one could witness reeds and fish swept down with the river flow into the highly saline water of the Dead Sea. As neither fish nor algae can possibly survive in water which is nearly 10 times saltier than most oceans, it was a death-trap for them.
The Plains Sea
In the book of Joshua in the Bible, the Dead Sea is mentioned by the name “the Sea of the Plain”: “That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the Sea of the Plain, even the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho” (Joshua 3:16).
Other names the Dead Sea has been called by over the years are: the Primordial Sea, the East Sea, the Sea of Lot, the Sea of the Arabah, the Sea of Sodom, the Stinking Sea, the Sea of Asphalt and the Devil’s Sea

Tur Budaya 2019

It begins on 17th March 2019, we all gathered at Husein Sastranegara International Airport in Bandung to flight to Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali. We're reallu excited about this Tur Budaya because we've waiting for this event since first day of second grade in SMAN 3 Bandung. And this is our picture at Husein Sastranegara International Airport.
Because our plane was delay untik 2pm, we're arrived at Bali too late so didn't go to Tanah Lot as other class. We straight went to Jimbaran Beach to have a dinner in our first beach. It was really amazing experience, but sadly the rain was come in the midle of or dinner so it's really bad for whom just arrived and haven't finish their food. But here's the picture i took before the rain came.
After having a dinner, we went to our hotel at Quest Hoter Denpasar to have a nice sleep because the next day it's really hectic day. We went to Tanjung Benoa Water Sport to do some activities, and I went to Turtle Island. Seeing the turtle is really makes me happy, and there also a snake and i took a picture with her.
And when back to the Tanjung Benoa I also ride a Jet Ski, again, that is really amazing experience and first time for me. After play and ate lunch, we move to Pandawa beach. Another beautiful beach in Bali, with a clear sand and blue sea. Such relaxing.

We're not finish, we went to GWK to took a picture with all 3'20. We spend our afternoon there and we watched the Devdan Show and it's really amazin show. Sadly we can take a picture so i can't show you guys the show. But here's my photo at GWK or Garuda Whisnu Kencana which is one of the biggest statue of Whisnu.

The next day, we had breakfast at the hotel and went to Tirta Empul, which is a holy place for Balinese people. There's a place for we take a bath and local believe that the water is can give so much benefits. Tirta empul also near to Desa Palipuran, the village that really famous because really clean and full of peace. Sadly, again, when we just arrived at the village the rain was come. I don't even have a walk to the village. So we decided to back to the bus and back to hotel for prepared to Nirmala Hotel where our gathering night is held. Here's some picture,

Last day in Bali, before we went to Gili Manuk port to back to Bandung, we visited Bedugul first. Different from Denpasar, Bedugul is has a cold weather just like Bandung. Again, Bedugul has a relax vibes and makes me really like to staying there longer. But sadly, at the afternoon we had to continue our way to Gili Manuk. See you when I see you Bali.

Buuuuutttttt, we haven't done. After transfered with Feri, we arrived at Katapang Port and continued our way with bus to Surabaya because we back to Bandung with train from Gubeng Station in Gubeng, Surabaya. It was really exciting journey, and it's really sad that our Turbud just over.

Thankyou Bali for the memory, and also all of my friends for more exciting experiences.

Bakti Desa

On early Febuary 2019, 3'2020 went to Cibeureum village in Bandung for Bakti Desa. So bakti desa is anual event from SMAN 3 Bandung that every student at grade 11 must attend this event.

First we're ghatered in SMAN 3 Bandung to went to the village together and it's really far from the city. So when we finally we arrived we gathred at hall and ate our lunch before wnet to our parent house.

For me bakti desa is really exciting, and I'm so happy when I went to the village and meet my foster mother. Her name is Bi Alit. Bi Alit was a single parent who lived with two kids, one older sister just graduated from high school, and younger brother is sixth grade of elementary school. Their family is so kind to us, I'm in one group with Tasya anda Audrey. Bi alit just treated us like we're their kids, she's so kind.

Bi Alit is a gardener for her boss in garden far from her house. There, we asked Bi Alit to follow her to the garden, at first she doesn't allowed us to follow her, but because we really want to came, finally she allowed us. And the garden is so far, Im not kidding, It's litteraly so far buat also really exciting because the air and village vibe makes us not really tired when we went to the garden. So Bi Alit is not alone, she has a friends who waited her on top of the hill. So they start working at 7am to 12 am, and have a break at 10am for eat.

Me, Tasya, and Audrey really respect their hard work because working on top of the hill isn't easy at all. Once we tried to go up and can't even standing because the land is really sloping. But they can easily standing there and planted a carrot. I giave a lot respect for them, because woithout them we can't eat vegie like now. At first before came there i really hate to eat vegie, but the after followed Bi Alit I more respect to every food i buy and eat because we don't know what's story behind it.

We stayed at Cibeureum village for three days and two nights. And the memory is really unforgetable because every minute i spend there is really meaningful. And also i spend a lot time to get closer to my friend, on the last night we gathered and grill a fish from the pool at the evening.

On the last day, the whole classes is went to upstream of citarum river using pickup car, that's was really amazing. But at the same time i felt really sad because i had to leave this village, leave the people, leave Bi Alit, and leave the memory. When i say goodbye to bi alit, we're really emotional because i felt like bi alit is really my mom, not only me, Tasya and Audrey also do the same thing.

And finally we back to Bandung city. I've promised to her I'll comeback soon with Tasya and Audrey too.

My Goal

Hi, I'm Intan and I'm 16 years old. So far my life is good, there's nothing special and everything still under control.I got 1 sibling, which is my brother 8 years oleder than me and now he's working at another city.

I went to Andir Kidul elementary school and after that i continue to 2 Cileunyi junior high school but moved on grade 9 to 8 junior high school. And then here I'm now, study in SMAN 3 Bandung.

My friends said that I'm a good listener, and yes i agree with them because it feels really good can listen to my friends story and cheer them up. But I'm a passive person, I don't really like to be around of people and I'd like to sit alone in cafe or my room because i feel kinda not comfortable.

Talking about hobby, I have many but not a productive hoby. I do love writing, like i can write anytime and anywhere of i have an idea to write. I also like listening to chill music or jamming music to cheer me up, and of course same like other teenager i do love sleep.

About achivement i got from my hoby, i don't think so because my hoby maybe kinda bored. Except one achivement, sometimes i published my book in one application called wattpad and i almost hit 65k readers there so i think that's my achivement from my hoby. And until now I already published 8 stories on Wattpad.

Like other people, i also have a dream. But not that kind of dream, i'd like to called it imagine. Because one of mine is can breath under water. But if you ask me what i wanna be, i wanna be doctor specially psychiatrist because like i said before, i like to listen people. And i have some interest to psycholgy book or something like that. My effort to reach my dream is continue to understand people and of course study hard because being a doctor isn't easy.

Topic: The Affect Music Has On Different Teens

Music is something that every person has his or her own specific opinion about. Different people have different taste, and various types of music have many ways of leaving an impact on someone. It can be relaxing, angering, soothing, energizing, and many more.

There are so many types of music out there today. Rap, pop, rock, country, indie, alternative, hardcore are some of the abundant types in the world. Music sends out either good or bad messages that have big impacts on how people act. People usually become friends with others who have a same taste in music as the rest of the people they hangout with, or it can be vice versa. People may not want to associate with people who have different tastes in music because they’ll argue about what they think is better but its just their own opinions.

Rap and Rock music are two very important types of music in the world. They both send out different messages and help kids. The lyrics sung or rapped by the artists can be things going on in their own personal lives, and people with the same types of problems can listen to them so they know theirs hope and theirs people like this out there in the world. Music can also serve as a catalyst for new ideas. When people listen to the new things out there, they learn different things going on in the world and they become more open-minded because they’re exposed to different people like the artists.

A lot of people come to the conclusion that rap music has a very big impact on the world. Listening to the lyrics, they usually revolve around sex and drugs and those are topics many parents don’t want their kids being involved in. Many of the music videos made by rap artists in the world show these topics in them. Studies show that people who are more into rap music do drugs one time in their lives.

People can use music to express themselves, in ways it can’t be expressed through behavior, or art. You can usually tell how someone’s feeling by the type of music he or she is listening to at the time. It’s a tool used by many. Groups of people around the world can come together and gather at concerts, shows, and venues to show what their interests and likings are and you see how many people have similar likings as you.

I can personally relate to the effects that music has on its listeners and users because it’s a big part of my life. Every day I listen to the words and sounds of different singers/bands with contrasting ideas and opinions. The music I listen makes me who I am.

Active:
1.  Music sends out either good or bad messages that have big impacts on how people act.
2. Rap and Rock music are two very important types of music in the world.
3. Music send out different messages and help kids.
4. A lot of people come to the conclusion that rap music has a very big impact on the world.

And when it changes into passive voice:
1. How people act had a big impact from the music who send a good or bad messages.
2. The important types of music was a rap and rock music.
3. A different messages and kid helps was send out by the music.
4. Rap music has a very big impact on the world was the conclusion from a lot of people.

Reading Articles

So, Mr. Jun told us to read an article form the news paper and here's the resume.

I read about young marriage kills kids childhood. As you guys know, in Indonesia young marriage is something usual to do, but it's happens a long time ago when our grandparents still young. The old generation usually do the you marriage because their parents thought their child will live happily with their older husband.

But it's not. These days, people did not do the young marriage again but sometimes parents still do that to their kids. child protection agency said that young marriage actually kill kids happiness because they have to bulid their family and sacrifice their youth.

In my opinion, I agree with them because young marriage is not really good to do because young people, ecspecially girl is not ready psycally and biologycally. Better age to do marriage is around 22-24 because we are so ready for marriage at that age.

Extra motion: The use of handphone in classroom:

In my opinion I disagree about the use of handphone in classroom because it make the students can't focus to the lesson and don't respect the teacher. Except if the teachers allowed for using handphone for the lesson. Or the solution is teacher or student capten collect the handphone before studying and give the phone back during the break time or when the studying is over. Or if the lesson need handphone, we can use it.

Im Yoona

Hi guys!

First, i want to ask you, what do you think about K-pop?

Korean? Music? Dance? or anything else?

Today i will tell you about one of my favourite artist, and she also one of member grup called SNSD. I know you know about SNSD because i think SNSD is so famous since i was elementary school. And today i don't tell you all pf them but only Yoona, she's my favourite.

Yoona

Im Yoon-ah (임윤아; born May 30, 1990), better known by the mononym Yoona, is a South Korean singer and actress. She debuted as a member of girl group Girl's Generation in August 2007, who went on to become one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and one of South Korea's most popular girl groups worldwide.

Yoona graduated from Daeyoung High School in 2009. She went on to major in theather studies and graduated from Dongguk University in February 2015, receiving a lifetime achievement award at the graduation ceremony. Her fellow Girls' Generation member, Seohyun, attended the same university. She was also chosen as an ambassador for the university in 2014 along with Apink's Naeun and actress Park Ha-sun.

Graduation from high school

Her family consists of her father and an older sister by five years. While growing up, she listened to girl group S.E.S and dreamed of becoming a singer. In 2002, she was cast in the SM Saturday Open Casting Audition and spent five years "doing nothing but constant training" in singing, dancing and acting. During her trainee days, she had low self-esteem about her low voice, and once thought of giving up singing in order to pursue an acting career. A SM choreographer persuaded her to continue, saying it would be "a waste to give up becoming a singer" with her "outstanding dancing skills". He also considered her as the best female dancer within the agency.Vocally, though Yoona is not known to have a wide vocal range, she has been described by critics to have a "very sweet voice". Prior to debuting, Yoona was introduced to the public through various appearances in music videos and commercials; she first appeared in TVXQ's "Magic Castle" music video in 2005. She made her official debut as a member of Girls' Generation in August 2007, becoming the "center" of the group. The group gained significant popularity with the release of their hit single "Gee" in 2009.

Im Yoona pre-debut

Apart from Girls' Generation's activities, Yoona has acted in several television dramas. Her acting career began in 2007 with a minor role in MBC's drama Two Outs in the Ninth Inning. She then appeared in MBC's Woman of Matchless  Beauty (2008), and was complimented by veteran actress Bae Jong-ok for her cameo performance.

In May 2008, Yoona landed her first leading role in KBS's drama You Are My Destiny, playing the character Jang Sae-byuk. The drama achieved viewer ratings of up to 41.5%, and Yoona received wider public recognition. She considered the role a turning point in her career, and won two "Best New Actress" awards at the 2008 KBS Drama Awards and 45th Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2009, Yoona was cast in MBC's drama Cinderella Man along with Kwon Sang-woo.

In September 2016, Yoona starred in tvN's action thriller The K2 with Ji Chang Wook. Tired of being typecast with a candy-like image and having always been burdened by the idol-actress prejudice, Yoona cast away the public perception and focused on the role as her "personal challenge". Her effort gained positive viewers' recognition, and earned her acting acclaim from critics.

Recently, back came good news from idols of all idols, YoonA. She is rumored to have had an adopted child she adopted since she was 18 years old. And the boy is a black boy from Africa. When interviewed by SBS Hope TV team, YoonA confessed that she felt sorry for the boy. She takes care of her, and sends her money every month for her. YoonA adds, "Seeing him can go to school and have fun with his friends, has made me happy and happy."
